Preorder Updates

8/26 Edit: The Far Away drop-off is scheduled for this afternoon. If all goes well, we’ll be shipping the preorder copies tomorrow morning.

8/22 Edit: Our logistics coordinator and I spoke today and the shipment is finally moving onto local transport. Unless another unexpected inspection hits us, the games will be delivered this week.

8/11 Edit: The container with Far Away is undergoing a second inspection (now with x-rays). As frustrating as it is, there’s nothing we can do to speed up this process. We can only hope something more exciting isn’t actually being smuggled with the games.

7/31 Edit: Far Away was selected for a random inspection by US customs, further delaying the process.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your patience with our two pending games. Here’s a general update to both the Far Away reprint and the Hair of the Dog debut.

  • Far Away is in the Port of Seattle, a few miles from our office.

  • Hair of the Dog is still slated for the end of 2022.

Far Away is in port, awaiting loading onto a delivery vehicle. Because of port congestion, we are unable to get a precise delivery date. We were told this process would take 2 weeks, which it has. We’re equally frustrated with the state of global supply chains and are anxious about having the games just out of reach. Hopefully, the delivery happens in the next few days. We’ll send another update when we get a delivery date and know when fulfillment will happen.

Hair of the Dog development is still being finalized. We’re completing the art assets before submitting everything to the manufacturer. We were hoping that Far Away would be a test for how long manufacturing and delivery would take, but the Shanghai lockdown complicated that. Our best estimate is still getting the games by December 2022. We’ll keep communicating progress as it goes.

Again, thank you for your patience and understanding. We realize there’s a lot of uncertainty with preordering games. We appreciate your confidence in us to deliver a wonderful game to your doorstep. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us.
