Cherry Blossom Season

Hi Cherry Picked Fans,

It's beautiful up here in Cascadia. The cherry trees are in bloom, tulips line the sidewalks, and it's finally warm enough to not constantly run space heaters. We just wrapped up our Emerald City Comicon experience and are looking forward to the next con.

CPG will be at Evergreen Tabletop Expo from May 27th to 29th. We are sharing a booth with other local game designers (including our friends at Warding Circle) all weekend. Our plan is to run short Catalyst demos at the booth, launch into full sessions throughout the con, and Drink! in the bar afterwards. We might have a prototype for our next secret project too.

We will be swinging through Moscow, Idaho this weekend. Stop by Safari Pearl Saturday from 2-6 to play Catalyst with us or Friday night for some Drinks. We are trying to expand our reach outside of Washington, so if your city is still infested with demons, let us know what game stores could host the human resistance. A summer demo-tour would be awesome.

Huge thanks to HyperRPG for having a us on Grab Bag last Thursday to flex our design muscles. If you haven't already, go check out their Twitch stream for a variety of gaming shows.

Alright, time to get back to work. You all expect great things of Drink! and our release date is fast approaching. Cheers!

Emerald City ComiCon

CPG is sending two of their talented game masters to ECCC. Once again, we are teaming up with Games on Demand to run role-playing sessions. Sign up with your friends (or strangers) to have one of us lead a one-off RPG session. No prep, game knowledge, or materials on your part; just an awesome gaming experience. Here's our time slots (GoD in general will be there from 12p to 11p Friday and Saturday, as well as 12p - 5p on Sunday).

Cherry Picked Games will be primarily running games of Catalyst. However, due to ECCC regulations involving demoing products, we must offer other games. We've chosen Monsterhearts and Spirit of the Century as alternates because of their compelling mechanics, themes, and single-session playability. If con-goers want those games, we are happy to host them. If they want a game of Catalyst led by the people who know it best, we are happy to host them.

Oh, there may be a Drink! after party happening nearby. Follow us on Twitter and you'll learn about it when we do.

Drink! Progress and Upcoming Events

Greetings Cherry Picked Fans,

First off, it's crunch-time for Drink! We're working hard to finish our illustrations and get everything sent overseas. Our goal is to make the card-art fun, visually distinct, and clean. It's been an endeavor to get 150 of these out while not reusing ideas or jokes. You're worth it. Full disclosure: we are slightly behind schedule here. Nothing that should affect the deadline unless there are other delays later in manufacturing. We'll keep you posted.

We've starting getting our punch and party recipes for the backer chapbook. There's some delicious drinks bartenders have provided us. We'll make a few for the next CPG game night.

CPG will once again be part of Games on Demand at this year's Emerald City Comic Con. Our talented and attractive game masters will lead groups through the demon apocalypse Friday and Saturday. To comply with ECCC's policy towards demoing products, we will also be offering to run other RPGs. It'll be fun either way, but we think people will prefer a game with the developers over the alternative.

After that, we will be ordering our other Drink! rewards and doing Catalyst demos in Idaho and Eastern Washington. More details soon.

Cheers!
